New Favorite on Thursday

Hey all, I've gotta tell you about a really fun book I recently read from a great new author. :) Spy Candy by Gina Robinson is on bookshelves now.

Jenna Jarvis has a not-so secret love of all things Bond. Her real life, however, is about as far from Bond as you can get. When her best friend wins the lottery, Jenna receives the gift of a lifetime - a week at FSC spy camp. For one week Jenna will be Domino, no longer the meek and mild bank employee, but a Bond girl ready for action.

There's certainly no shortage of action at FSC. As soon as the campers leave the bus they are greeted with an explosion. But who can pay attention to exploding cars when a mega hunk of a man is walking out of the flames looking like he walked straight out of a Bond film? Torq is every woman's fantasy, and Jenna - in her Domino persona - can't keep her eyes off him. Because of her vigilance she can see Torq's worried. Despite FSC's assurances that the explosion was planned and just a test, Jenna/Domino is having her doubts.

When the accidents keep happening Domino and her newfound friend, Emma decide to investigate. Domino is convinced one of her fellow campers is being targeted. At FSC they are taught to trust no one, so who can she turn to for help? Everywhere she looks, Torq is there, and there's no doubt she's attracted to him, but can he be trusted?

I really enjoyed Gina Robinson's debut novel. Spy Candy is the perfect title because this story is delicious in so many ways. I had so much fun reading about Jenna/Domino and Torq and all the guys at FSC. I really hope Gina revisits these characters again.

If you're a fan of a story with action this is a book you've got to check out. This is definitely a book for fans of James Bond and all things spy-related. I can't wait to see what Gina comes up with next.

Have a great weekend and keep craving more.
