Hello Readers,

Thank you for visiting Crave More Romance over the past two years. It’s been wonderful to share my favorite romances with you and to learn about several of your favorites as well. Unfortunately, real life has gotten in the way of reviewing time lately and though I’ve hoped that would change it seems that for the time being I’m going to have to take some time off from CMR.

I hope you all continue to find fantastic romances and share them with other readers. Have a wonderful year.

Best,

Kerensa

Sensational Sunday

Healing Luke
By Beth Cornelison

When a betrayal forced Abby Stanford to take her honeymoon alone, the last thing she expected was to care for another man. Yet, when she sees Luke Morgan something resonates within her. This man, scarred from a terrible accident, needs help and as an occupational therapist Abby can give that to him. Knowing that helping this man could give her something positive to focus on Abby agrees to extend her vacation for as long as Luke needs her. It’s a decision Abby is glad she made, despite the fact that spending so much time alone with Luke has her libido soaring and her heart aching. After all, its way too soon for her to feel this way about another man or is it?

HEALING LUKE is a breath of fresh air for romance fans. Nothing about this romance feels forced. Ms. Cornelison allows the reader the chance to truly understand her characters and the relationship that develops between them. The result is a stirring novel and a five star read! I’ll be talking about this novel for days and of course, I'll be eagerly awaiting Ms. Cornelison’s next novel.

Five Star Friday

Highland Rebel
By Judith James

As a man who’d seen more than enough of wars and their Kings, Jamie Sinclair was ready to ride in one last battle before finally retiring to the life he’s dreamt of. That is until a beautiful highlander is captured, leaving it up to Jamie to either marry or leave her to die. Taking a wife wasn’t what Jamie Sinclair had in mind, especially one who could easily be a camp follower without a title. Despite his desire to stay in the King’s favor, something about the woman’s bravery strikes a chord with him. In an instant he finds himself wed to a woman who by birth should be his enemy and yet, just might be his destiny.

Highland Rebel is an incredible journey of a book! Not only is the setting detailed enough to take the reader through time, the story is beautiful. I could see the characters struggle to love one another in a time when living in different countries was as good as living in different worlds. I’m thoroughly impressed by Ms. James! Five stars for Highland Rebel.

Must Read Monday

Celeste Bradley has a new novel out that I can't wait to start reading, just read the teaser from her publisher's website. Chances are you'll find yourself eager to start reading it too!

From The Publisher's Website:

The three-year-old girl sitting on the steps of Brown’s Club for Distinguished Gentlemen insists that one of its members is her papa. Aidan de Quincy feels obligated to help the wee thing, even though she certainly isn’t his—or is she? To find answers, Aidan must first track down the lovely widow he swore to forget when their passionate affair came to a painful end. It doesn’t help that Madeleine Chandler is as sensual and enticing as ever…

For three years, Madeleine had dreamed of seeing Aidan on her doorstep. The secret that once forced her to leave him now compels her to pretend that this sweet child is hers—a lie Aidan will surely never forgive. Yet the contented days and exquisite nights that follow are worth the heartbreak she knows must come. The truth will out—and when it does, there will be the devil to pay…

Thrill Me Thursday

I personally can't get enough of the characters in Cathy Lamb's JULIA'S CHOCOLATES. This book had me laughing, crying, and everything in between. I hope you'll take a chance and check it out.
From the moment Julia Bennett leaves her abusive Boston fiancĂ© at the altar and her ugly wedding dress hanging from a tree in South Dakota, she knows she’s driving away from the old Julia, but what she’s driving toward is as messy and undefined as her own wounded soul. The old Julia dug her way out of a tortured, trailer park childhood with a monster of a mother. The new Julia will be found at her Aunt Lydia’s rambling, hundred-year-old farmhouse outside Golden, Oregon.

There, among uppity chickens and toilet bowl planters, Julia is welcomed by an eccentric, warm, and often wise clan of women, including a psychic, a minister’s unhappy wife, an abused mother of four, and Aunt Lydia herself—a woman who is as fierce and independent as they come. Meeting once a week for drinks and the baring of souls, it becomes clear that every woman holds secrets that keep her from happiness. But what will it take for them to brave becoming their true selves? For Julia, it’s chocolate. All her life, baking has been her therapy and her refuge, a way to heal wounds and make friends. Nobody anywhere makes chocolates as good as Julia’s, and now, chocolate just might change her life—and bring her love when she least expects it. But it can’t keep her safe. As Julia gradually opens her heart to new life, new friendships, and a new man, the past is catching up to her. And this time, she will not be able to run but will have to face it head on.

Filled with warmth, love, and truth, Julia’s Chocolates is an unforgettable novel of hope and healing that explores the hurts we keep deep in our hearts, the love that liberates us, the courage that defines us, and the chocolate that just might take us there.

Surrender Becomes Her
By Shirlee Busbee

Enter the captivating world of New York Times bestselling author Shirlee Busbee and you’ll be swept off your feet by this utterly irresistible tale of two hasty marriages—and one unrepentant passion...

Give Up...Or Give In?

Reliability. Trustworthiness. Dignity. These are only a few of the characteristics supporting Marcus Sherbrook’s reputation as the perfect gentleman. Or almost perfect, as there is one significant smirch on his record: the rebellion of one Miss Isabel Dunham who, at the age of seventeen, defied Marcus’s guardianship, eloped, and fled to India. The widowed Isabel returned to England ten years ago, and has been making Marcus’s cool gray eyes flash ever since...not that he’d give her the satisfaction of knowing it. But when Isabel is threatened by the schemes of a blackmailer, Marcus’s actions to protect her lead to yet another spontaneous marriage—and kindle the embers of a desire never acknowledged, but now impossible to deny...
